Current Positions:

SENIOR PRODUCTION SCHEDULER >

Reporting directly to the head of Operations, the Senior Production Scheduler will work closely with the leadership teams in sales, purchasing, and operations to build a production schedule that sets priorities and coordinates materials and resources to ensure maximum productivity and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate enjoys being hands on and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where teamwork and a commitment to results and customer responsiveness is the norm.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

– Interface with Sales, Customer Service, Production and Purchasing to set priorities that meet organizational objectives in revenue, on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.

– Balance and revise the factory schedule to optimize production and oversee the delivery of work orders, labels and other production documentation to the factory floor.

– Maintain accurate data for production scheduling, routing, and forecasting in the ERP system.

– Work with the Operations team and senior management to establish and execute best practices for forecasting, planning and scheduling.

– Work with the Purchasing team and key vendors to ensure material availability to meet the production schedule.

– Participate and/or lead continuous improvement initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

– Degree or diploma related to Scheduling, Supply Chain, Production Management or equivalent work experience and training.

– A minimum of 5 years of production scheduling or combined planning and scheduling experience. Supervisory experience is an asset but not required.

– Strong technical software skills required including Excel and ERP software.

– Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and other manufacturing best practices.

– Strong analytical abilities with extreme accuracy and attention to detail.

– Ability to work collaboratively across functions to develop or modify system processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

– A proven record of taking initiative and delivering results.

– Experience in an electro-mechanical manufacturing industry is an asset.

INSIDE SALES + SUPPORT REPRESENTATIVE >

As an integral part of our Inside Sales + Support team, you are responsible for supporting internal Sales/Marketing, Operations and Engineering teams; and delivering exceptional sales support to in-field Regional Sales Managers and other outside sales reps. You will be responsible for building and maintaining day to day relationships with our customers by:

– Leveraging your problem solving and relationship management abilities to address architectural, engineering and installer technical and onsite construction issues with urgency and excellence

– Responding to customer’s questions relating to product knowledge, order status, or shipments

– Interacting with leading architects, engineers, building consultants, and trades across North America to provide technical support and assistance

DUTIES:

– Primary point of contact for our customers’ ordering requirements

– Processing sales orders accurately and in a timely manner

– Handling all incoming calls related to order questions / delays / damage etc.

– Outgoing Logistics support

– System maintenance and updating

YOU BRING:

– 2-4 years of previous work experience in inside sales or customer service

– Experience in MS Word, Excel and working with an ERP system is beneficial – Infor Syteline a plus

– Desire to work in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment

– Experience in the commercial lighting industry or experience in other specification grade architectural product categories in a construction-oriented industry is highly beneficial

– Experience working in a manufacturing organization is also a plus

JUNIOR MECHANICAL DESIGNER >

We are currently seeking a Junior Mechanical Designer with an appreciation for details to join our close and highly creative new product design team. You will have key responsibilities to design specific innovative mechanical solutions for LED luminaire development and production. Proficiency in SolidWorks is a pre-requisite. Experience in designing for mass production is advantageous. Programming and operational experience with CNC milling machines is beneficial but not required. Good communication skills are essential as well as the ability to work in a collaborative team environment. You must have a degree or diploma in a mechanical design discipline and strong references.

EDUCATION:

Minimum 2 year technical diploma

EXPERIENCE:

– Shop experience with common woodworking and metalworking tools.

– Basic electrical knowledge.

– Proficiency using SolidWorks

– CNC Machining and programming experience an asset

– Basic electronics knowledge is an asset

– Industrial design experience an asset

– Prior experience designing for any following manufacturing methods is an asset:

– Sheetmetal

– Aluminum Extrusion

– Injection Molding

– Machining

RESPONSIBILITIES:

– Detailing concept designs for costing, testing and verification.

– Hands on prototyping, building one off samples with a high degree of skill and attention to detail

– Machining high precision prototypes from a variety of materials.

– Assisting in the design of new products
