Mobiltex Calgary
When the time came for Mobiltex, a Calgary-based developer and manufacturer of IoT systems for large infrastructure projects, to create a new office space to exemplify their progressive, high-performance culture, a collaboraton with design firm Sensyst was formed.
Working closely together with TPL Lighting, the Sensyst design team selected Fluxwerx luminaires to provide indirect/direct illumination for all personal and shared Mobiltex work areas. Integrating minimalist design and architectural materials with superior optical and energy performance, Fluxwerx luminaires deliver optical precision and control with complete absence of glare, balancing occupant comfort with high performance and value. The exposed ceiling, combined with patterns of angled linear, pendant and recessed luminaires creates unique visual interest and allows lighting to become its own design element in the space.
The new 20,000 sq ft office space was designed with the goal of collaboration at the forefront. A combination of open and closed work spaces as well as conference room spaces provide for a variety of activity settings for individuals and group dynamics. The requirements for flexibility and design continuity needed to carry through in the choice of lighting as well—Fluxwerx was a clear choice.
Blending harmoniously throughout the Mobiltex office, the minimalist architecture aesthetic seamlessly integrates with the related, open aperture and clean geometries of Fluxwerx Profile, Profile Spoke and Notch 2 luminaire families. The result is a cohesive expression of highly functional architectural and lighting design that offers exceptional illumination centered around the many varied uses and needs of the people in the environment.
Fluxwerx Profile Spoke, Profile and Notch fixtures were selected to maintain lighting design and high performance consistency throughout the space utilizing Anidolic Optics technology. The design team appreciated the opportunity to select suspended, pendant and recessed luminaires that offered continuity of design and lighting aesthetics.
